Rockstar Mayhem Festival 2012

The 2012 version of the Rockstar Mayhem Festival brought out the crowds, both young and old; with bands for every age to head bang to. The festival atmosphere kicked off the day with the Sumerian Stage filled with younger bands, as well as the Jager stage with a killer lineup of Upon A Burning Body, White Chapel, Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada, and Anthrax. The Metal Mulisha crew was also on hand to throw down some sick aerial stunts for the hyped up crowd. Read the rest of this entry

AVICII LE7ELS Tour – Tampa Bay Times Forum

Swedish DJ AVICII kicked off his highly anticipated LE7ELS tour last week at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, raising the bar in the EDM scene. With a massive stage set that blows Skrillex out of the water, AVICII drew thousands of fans out who were ready to party! Tim (Bergling) played over 2 hours of nonstop mixes, sending the crowd into frenzy. An hour and a half into the show, the giant head on stage began to rise, and Avicii flew out over the crowd into the middle of the arena, bringing the party even that much closer to the fans. Cody Simpson – Welcome To Paradise Tour

Finishing up a string of dates on his first US headlining tour, Australian pop sensation Cody Simpson brought the “Welcome To Paradise” Tour to Tampa’s Ritz Ybor last week. Joined by his self-proclaimed best friend Jessica Jarrell, the duo drew hundreds of teenage girls out for the show. Simpson kept his stage simple, with just a few band members and occasional backup dancers. With a suave James Bond style entrance, Simpson, dressed in a black suit, caused a deafening roar from the crowd. He played songs ranging from Angel and All Day to Evenings In London and On My Mind. Cody showed off his endless dance skills throughout, he barely stood still the entire show. He showed off his instrumental skills as well, playing both the acoustic guitar and the keyboard. Jeff Dunham Controlled Chaos Tour

After nearly 3 years on the road touring with his old material, Jeff Dunham is back on the road and better than ever with his new “Controlled Chaos Tour.” At a recent stop in Daytona Beach, Dunham and his little friends had the near sold out crowd rolling on the floor. His new act is a mix of material from his latest Comedy Central special, as well as some brand new never before heard jokes. With so much to say, Dunham no longer has Guitar Guy out on the road to open the show, it is all Jeff, all the time. Along with fan favorites Walter, Bubba J, Achmed, Peanut, and even Jose, Jeff introduced two new characters, AJ and Little Jeff.  The usual crude yet hilarious banter between Jeff and his puppets was ever present, with an occasional F-bomb or two thrown in! While that may be the case, the kids in the crowd were laughing just as hard as their parents. During intermission, Jeff introduced the crowd to Roadie the wonder dog, his new puppy. Taylor Swift Speak Now World Tour

Taylor Swift brought her never-ending Speak Now world tour to Tampa Florida fresh off her Entertainer Of The Year win at the CMAs. With effortless grace, Taylor proved why she won that award. She danced and sang her way into the hearts of the 15 thousand plus in attendance. When Taylor takes the stage, it is more than just a concert; it is a full visual performance. Filled with stage props, costume change after costume change, and a superstar that likes to spend more time in the crowd than onstage, fans left the arena with a mile wide smile that I am sure lasted for days.
