Young The Giant

Hipsters rejoice, Young The Giant are spending 2012 on the road, playing show after sold out show across America. At their recent stop in Tampa on St Patrick’s Day, the building was over-packed and the green beer was flowing. This made for an extra-excited crowd for the entire show. Grouplove was on first, and the crowd was loving it! After a little too long of a set change, the crowd grew restless and started chanting “YTG.” The band took this cue and walked onstage, causing the uniform chants to morph into endless cheers. While the band only played 14 songs, a rather short set, they put everything they had into it! Read the rest of this entry

Cody Simpson – Welcome To Paradise Tour

Finishing up a string of dates on his first US headlining tour, Australian pop sensation Cody Simpson brought the “Welcome To Paradise” Tour to Tampa’s Ritz Ybor last week. Joined by his self-proclaimed best friend Jessica Jarrell, the duo drew hundreds of teenage girls out for the show. Simpson kept his stage simple, with just a few band members and occasional backup dancers. With a suave James Bond style entrance, Simpson, dressed in a black suit, caused a deafening roar from the crowd. He played songs ranging from Angel and All Day to Evenings In London and On My Mind. Cody showed off his endless dance skills throughout, he barely stood still the entire show. He showed off his instrumental skills as well, playing both the acoustic guitar and the keyboard. Buckcherry in Tampa

After a run opening up for Guns N Roses, and a stint on the annual Shiprocked cruise, Buckcherry played a one off show with Hinder and Mr Bella in Tampa Florida.  Decked out in their signature glam rock leather attire, the band blasted through a set list filled with fan favorites. Kicking off the night with Tired Of You, Rescue Me, and All Night Long, BC set the mood for the hour and a half that followed. They were out to prove that fans could still rock out even though they were in a Broadway theatre, and that is just what they did! The crowd of 1000 jumped over seats and formed a giant mob in front of the stage, rocking out and singing along to all 17 songs that night. Many fans were surprised that they played their mega hit Crazy Bitch early in the set, but that didn’t stop them from screaming along every word! BC ended the night with Crushed, and kept the fans wanting more. With a very busy 2011 wrapping up for them, one can only hope they will be on the road just as much in 2012! World War 3 Tour w/ Hollywood Undead

Hollywood Undead continued their very busy 2011 by headlining the World War 3 Tour along with Asking Alexandria, Borgore, We Came As Romans, and DRUGS. This lineup was jam packed, with a band for fans of every music style.  At one of the last stops in Tampa FL, Hollywood Undead played a high energy set loaded with cyro explosions and an impressive lighting system. The band played fan favorites like “Undead” and “Everywhere I Go” along with material from their more recent albums. While they only wore their signature masks for a few songs, that didn’t bring down the energy level at all. Fans were eating it up, chanting “HOLLYWOOD” in between every song. The band played 15 songs, almost an hour and a half of constant jumping and singing along from the crowd. Ending with “Hear Me Now,” Hollywood made it clear that they are not going anywhere, they will be having just as much fun on the road for years to come! Read the rest of this entry

Taylor Swift Speak Now World Tour

Taylor Swift brought her never-ending Speak Now world tour to Tampa Florida fresh off her Entertainer Of The Year win at the CMAs. With effortless grace, Taylor proved why she won that award. She danced and sang her way into the hearts of the 15 thousand plus in attendance. When Taylor takes the stage, it is more than just a concert; it is a full visual performance. Filled with stage props, costume change after costume change, and a superstar that likes to spend more time in the crowd than onstage, fans left the arena with a mile wide smile that I am sure lasted for days. Check out our exclusive gallery from the show below. Read the rest of this entry

Panic At The Disco, Patrick Stump, and Foxy Shazam

Panic at the Disco are back on the road with the 2nd leg of their 2011 tour. Bringing back Foxy Shazam and adding Patrick Stump to round out the night, fans were in for a treat. First up was Foxy. There are absolutely no words that can describe their live set, so I am not even going to try. SEE THEM LIVE, END OF STORY. Patrick Stump was on next, brought on by the shriek of teenage Fall Out Boy fans. Stump has continued to blow me away as a solo artist. The passion and energy that he displays while onstage was never seen while he was fronting FOB. He blazed through a loaded set list of original songs off of his new album “Soul Punk.” Read the rest of this entry
