Vans Warped Tour 2012

The 18th annual Vans Warped Tour pulled into Vinoy Park in St Pete Florida last week, unloading its own mini city of punk rock madness along the water. Thousands of fans rushed to the entrance as gates were opened an hour before they were supposed to. With an incredibly diverse lineup this year, along with a heavy hitting main stage lineup including ALL TIME LOW, TAKING BACK SUNDAY, 
YELLOWCARD, FOUR YEAR STRONG, 
FALLING IN REVERSE, PIERCE THE VEIL, 
NEW FOUND GLORY, and BREATHE CAROLINA, Warped fans were in for a long, hot sweaty good time. Read the rest of this entry

The Wanted US Tour

Straight off the plane and into the tour bus, one of the UK’s hottest boy bands, The Wanted, kicked off their first ever US tour last night at The Social in Orlando Florida. Playing to a sold out crowd, The Wanted boys took to the stage amid screams reminiscent of Bieber-Fever! Kicking off the set with “Behind Bars,” The Wanted played over an hour of nonstop music. They played fan favorites like “Rocket,” “Warzone,” and their smash hit “All Time Low.” The guys were clearly blown away by the fan support for their first US show, continuously commenting on how shocked they were that people knew all the words to their songs. The plus side of having 5 switching vocalists meant more time for the guys to spread the love, high fiving, hugging, and kissing the screaming girls smashed up against the stage. While in the US, The Wanted will be playing much smaller venues than the arenas they are used to back in the UK, but from the looks of it, they don’t mind the intimate show at all! Rock-wire sat down with Sean Mackin of Yellowcard on their recent co headline tour with Good Charlotte to discuss everything from video games to touring habbits. Check it out below!

Rock-wire: You were just on tour with All Time Low…you guys completely stole the show! What is your goal with your live show? Why are live performances so important to you? 

Sean Mackin: I don’t know if we stole the show, but it was a pleasure touring with all time low. The goal for a Yellowcard show is to have fun. Everyone in attendance needs to leave with a smile on their face. Everything we do revs up to the yellowcard show. We understand people do A lot to get to our shows, and travel great distances, so it is important we put all our effort into the best yc show every time.  Read the rest of this entry
